I was par ticularly impressed with their attitude and willingness to work hard at practice and these were major factors contributing to the success of the season. This was epitomised in some of the narrow victories that were achieved through sheer determination. It is difficult to single out individuals, but special mention must be made of Dylan Richardson, who captained the side remarkably well. Mike Albers Played: 12 Won: 7 Lost: 4 Drew: 1 U 15B I would like to begin with a huge thank you to all the boys who played this season as well as mentioning captain Brad Rober tson, who was an inspirational leader and worked hard all season. The results speak for themselves: a win over Maritzburg College away really sums up the season. The boys matured and developed their skills well. They played beautiful rugby and with just two losses, can be proud of their effor ts. PJ Stroebel Played: 9 Won: 7 Lost: 2 U15 C This was a good season due to the spirit and enthusiasm shown at both practices and matches. There was a very good balance of good forwards and backs, which allowed the boys to play exciting open running rugby. The boys really enjoyed themselves and this could be seen in the courage and determination with which they took on opponents, often a lot bigger than themselves. The usual problem of continuity plagued us, but when boys from the D team were asked to step up they did so admirably. Our only losses were against ‘the big three’ and the loss to Glenwood was a narrow one (15 – 11). I would like to thank the team and especially the very capable captain, for a most enjoyable season. David Graves Played: 11 Won: 8 Lost: 3 U 15D Although we only won a single game this season, the team can be proud of their effor ts. Even when we were trailing by a significant margin (which was often), the boys refused to give up and managed to produce some very well-worked tries. The highlight of the season was our match against St. Charles. Despite going into half-time with a 22-point lead, the boys were pushed to their defensive limits and endured a late second-half onslaught from the opposition to secure a welldeserved 36 – 27 victory. Jonathan Waldburger Played: 7 Won: 1 Lost: 6 With grateful thanks to the Mazwai Family
