168 SOCCER U 15C The boys enjoyed a fantastic season in which team spirit and mutual encouragement were the order of the day at practices and during matches. We tried to play an aggressive high speed passing game throughout the season. Blaise Carmichael led the team admirably and our defence also deserves a special mention: opposition teams often paid a heavy price for trying to muscle their way through Steedman and Heard in central defence. The season was a great success as we only suffered one loss. I would like to extend my thanks to Connor Heycocks for his coaching assistance and to the parents for their suppor t. Lastly, my thanks to the boys for a memorable year. Jason Rottcher Played: 8 Won: 5 Lost: 1 Drew: 2 U 15D This side enjoyed a very successful season only losing two games. They played some outstanding soccer with most goals being of the highest quality and the result of a team effor t rather than individual brilliance. It was a pleasure to coach this enthusiastic group of young men who played the beautiful game with such spirit. Jake Adam Played: 8 Won: 5 Lost: 2 Drew: 1 U 15E This was a delightful group of boys who played with enthusiasm at every practise and match, resulting in fantastic results. They were not afraid to attack as a team and defend as a unit, resulting in the team scoring 29 goals and only conceding 4. They were wor thy recipients of the best junior team award. Mike Albers Played: 7 Won: 6 Drew: 1 U 15F After two opening losses, the players bounced back and won their next two games. A draw and a final loss to Westville resulted in a mixed season. However, they must be complimented on their enthusiasm and the large numbers who turned out to practices and matches are a testament to their attitude. David Graves Played: 6 Won: 2 Lost: 3 Drew: 1 U 15G The large number of players turning out for this age group necessitated the formation of a G team. The problem was finding matches for them. However, a few were arranged and the players thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A big thank you is extended to the senior boys who coached the team. David Graves.
