Chronicle-2014

186 true sibling mentorships. I commend all the seniors who have seen past their pride and seniority and have lead with service in developing these relationships. Our Kearsney badge enables us to look past differences of race, culture and economics and allows us to unite. We see it in all spheres of the school and we will see it at our reunions: a unique brotherhood that will never die. Paul Ryan once said: “Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.” In order to win, we must in turn help others to win. I would like to single out my cousin,Tristan, for the suppor t he has given me and the effor t he has put into his role this year. My sincere appreciation is also extended to the prefect body who have embraced their responsibilities and always put the needs of the College before their own. I would like to commend the class of 2014 for the platform that we created. We chose a path that bettered Kearsney. We acknowledged that leading a school entails many different styles of leadership. We have contributed to the legacy of Kearsney. As the year draws to a close, I would like to pay tribute to, and thank, my parents who have suppor ted me – I wouldn’t have made it without you. I can truly say that 2014 has been successful because all of us understood the definition of success. We fulfilled what we were commissioned to do five years ago: we did not become men of success; we became men of value.
