ARTS @ Kearsney 93 Our impeccably equipped Henderson hall stage was filled with incredible talent over two nights in September, with the audiences thrilled by each performance. The festival included par ticipants from a wide range of schools, spread out over Durban and Pietermaritzburg. primary schools represented were Gordon Road Girls' school,Westville primary,Thomas More preparatory, Vusukukhanya primary and Glenwood preparatory. Each school presented a shor t programme of an exceptionally high standard and the packed audience was not shy with its applause. The high schools who performed included Durban girls' high,Thomas More College,TheWykeham Collegiate, and the choir of JG Zuma secondary school. Our aim was to promote and raise the standards of choral music in KZN, and this festival is fast becoming an annual fixture which choirs use to showcase the progress they made. Our own choir loves to perform with these schools and it becomes a great oppor tunity for the students from different backgrounds to interact and learn from one another. Bernard Krüger Choir festival The festival has grown exponentially since its inception in 2013.
