Statistically, with 1 1 defeats in 14 games, the record was very poor, D.H.S. and Westville were two particularly strong, big teams. Other matches were evenly contested without victories. Some players .showed promise but have lots to learn in all departments. Tackling was poor at times. A, Stubbs was a regular and reliable Tough Judge. The backs were small but the forwards fairly robust. Several of the players will be available for the same age group next year. They will provide the nucleus for a useful A side. This improvement was especially evident in the foreward players, thanks to the first class coaching by Nick Maritz and Clifford Hopkins who helped coach my pack. The team played at all times with great spirit and determination, which gave me and our ever increasing supporters during the season much enjoyment. The results are good if U13C 47
