We have some very enthusiastic younger members, and this augurs well for the future of the society. Rouillard, Schneeberger, Bignoux and Sacks entered photographs in competitions, with Rouillard and Schneeberger winning 1st and 2nd prizes respectively in the Junior Section of the Mooi River Agricultural Society Photographic Competition. We hope that next year more members will enter competitions, if only to gain experience It is well worth the effort. 1978 promises to be a very active year as far as outings, talks and workshop meetings are concerned, we look forward to another good year. W.S. SOCIETY w The Guilds have completed another varied year of fellowship and instruction. Faithful work has been done by Messrs Fish and Friend in the regular meetings of the Junior and Intermediate branches, with a final week-end camp being planned tor the latter. Voluntary Bible studies and prayer meetings continue to be held in the houses, Room 5 and the Chapel, in which senior boys take the main responsibility. Tiie Skoegheim houseparties, the one-day seminar at Hilton, and the School-leavers' Conference have all added valuable depth and variety to the local programme. Our thanks go to Rev. David Cook and the Scripture Union team for these and many other activities, and our warm best wishes accompany David to the U K at the end of6 years' dedicated service to the Private Schools of South Africa. The Senior Guild, in particular, has had good attendances at its meetings, which have included visits from various Methodist ministers (Revs. A. Massey, D. Jolliffe and L. Hulley), youth teams (Natal University, Scripture Union and Youth for Christ) and religious films("Troubled Waters","Where the Waters Run"and "Signposts Aloft"). To accompany the latter, Mr Mossom gave an interesting description of instrument-flying a small aircraft, its risks and responsibilities. Unexpected dramatic talent was uncovered when a number of boys helped in a presentation of a "TV programme" based on the well-known book "The Davidson Affair" for an Easter meeting. All these meetings have helped to keep the words and work of Jesus Christ prominent in the weekly programme of the College. C.C. B. WESLEY GUILDS 65
