Seedat, D.D.Symons,M.A. Williamson, A.J.T. Wilson. SUMMARY OF YEAR There was a great deal of enthusiasm which more than made up for the lack of expertise. The players played to the best of their abilities at all times, and were a credit to the school whether we had lost or won, because of their cheer fulness and courtesy. They certainly made the Captain's task an easy one, though full credit must go to him for making this a possibility. It is only to be hoped that the school will be able to find "good" coaches to attend to these lower teams in the future, so that we can give the maximum chance to each individual to prosper at the game. CRICKET REPORT-U14 A TEAM REGULAR PLAYERS: C.H. Coetzee (Captain), N.K. Broomhead, N.B. Gray, A.C. Jewitt, J.P.D. Kelly, A.C. Mundell, J.E. Nel, M.D. Parkinson, M.L. Phillips, D.G. Stadter, A.van Noordwyk,A.R.van Tricht, J.C.Woodburn. SUMMARY OF YEAR In the first term the team produced some excellent cricket. The batting of Coetzee, Nel and Phillips and the bowling of Nel, Stadter and Woodburn were the pillars on which our victories were based. During the fourth term a number of these competent players lost form. This required the other team members to make their contributions. The team was less successful in this term and lost two games and drawing the remainder. There appears to bg a core of fine emerging talent and we can look forward to some fine performances in the future. My thanks to D. Organ for the competent manner in whichhe umpired this year.
