The4th XIhad a very successful yearindeed.Enthusiasm, enjoyment of the game, determination and commitment were the hallmarks of the team. There were some tense moments in the fourth term when there were some gaps in ourranks owing to afall offin matric participation, but,by the end ofthe season,we managed to achieve our goal and were awarded the trophy for the team with the best match results of 1993. Ofthe fourteen matches played, we won nine, drew three and lost only two. Special mention mustbe madeofthe sound leadership pro vided by Scott Picken and Richard Brown, who assumed the captaincy of Scott's well-deserved promotion to the 3rd XI in the fourth term. Sincere thanks are due to Rick James, our loyal and reli able scorer throughout the season. D.J. GOLDHAWK Results V.
