Prinsloo. sonal hurdle by scoring his first ever 50 and continued to blossom subsequently. His effort in the second match against College, which they won off the last ball of the day, was outstanding. Rowan Groom is a young cricketer with abundant talent andif he continues to bepositive andbelieve inhimself he will have an outstanding future. Scott Summers, promoted to the 1st XI in the fourth quar ter, is a wonderful cricketer with a very bright future pro videdhe becomes a little more self-disciplined. DamianRoberts served the side well as wicket keeper/bats man and, despite his inability to practise as often as was needed through his commitment to tennis, he played su perbly andwillbe a great loss to Kearsney cricket whenhe concentrates fully on tennis. Both Mark Prinsloo and Leon Westerhof struck the ball mightly, particularly the latter, and both fielded superbly. Booth batted sensibly, the highlight of his year being a very good50 against College. Timothy Wise is amore than useful seamer and when he gets a hit stronger could be very good indeed. Justin Seago bowled wonderfully well and batted courageously when called upon to do so. Grant Henderson had little opportunity with the bat, but bowled steadily and fielded superbly. LungaBaai couldbe quite a handful when he got on line which unfortunately was too infrequently. He must develop his batting where he shows ability. Michael York batted well on occasions and fielded enthusiastically. This has been a very good team and, as they enter 1994, they will be part of different teams, butIhope that the experiences they had in their Colts year will stand themin good stead.Ihave every confidence that each and every one of that side will make his mark on Kearsney College cricket in the next two years.
