This team had a most enjoyable season,and was probably oneofthe better U14Cteams produced by the school,which is an indication of the strength of this age group. There was some batting, bowling and fielding of a quality not often seen at this level. The team was ably led by R. Atkinson in the first term, who was well succeeded by R. Price in the fourth. Both showed some skill in field placing,and some astute bowl ing changes often helped to swing the game in Kearsney's favour. The most effective batsmen were R.Price,H.Durrett and P. Storrar who stepped into the wicekt keeping slot for the first time in his life, and acquitted himself admirably. Although thefourth term did not start very well,with losses against strong DHS and College teams,the team was able to finish well in spite ofthe loss ofa number ofplayers in this age group to other sports. All in all this was a good team whose ability and spirit bodes well for the future of cricket at Kearsney. D.B.
