At halfback,S.Brown had a very good season, playing his first season of"A" side rugby; he was well served by the nuggety, courageous G.Picken. The frontrow ofB.Currin,B.Allan and G.Foster held their own with Allan and Foster getting through a lot of workin the tightloose.ThelocksS.Roux and D.Comrie/ D. Thackwell always played above themselves with Roux doing a lot ofgood workin the line-outs.Theloose trio complemented each other well: Crockett, the terrier work-horse fetcher; Bull, the driving, strong loose-for ward and No. 8 Johnson, the skilful roving player. Johnson must also be commended on leading this outfit excellently. It was a pleasure coaching these boys and I wish them all well in their future in rugby.
