PARENTSINVOLVEMENT We have felt the need to have more contact with parents so that they can help us and, hopefully, we help them in some way. This year 1 have called together a consultation with rep resentation from board, parents, staff and pupils in or der to share ideas to make the ministry ofthe chaplaincy more meaningful. We meettwice in the year. These have been mosthelpful in producing new ideas and approaches in ministry. We have also had the first ofwhatI hope will be a quar terly meeting for parents after Chapel when we look at an issue of particular interest to parents of adolescent boys. The first meeting,in the third term, took the form of a video by Dr James Dobson about the challenge of being parents ofteenagers. MOTHERS WHO CARE Lastly I would like to pay tribute to"Mothers who Care". They are a group of mothers(and others)who pray at 8 a.m.every Wednesday morning in the Day Boyslounge at Haley House. The foundation of prayer is an indis pensable part ofany Christian ministry and 1 would en courage any who have the time tojoin them in offering prayer for the particular needs of Kearsney College. As you can see we have a great deal for which to thank and praise God here at Kearsney.Thank you to all who support the ministry ofthe chaplaincy in any way at all. Next yearthe Scripture Union in theIndependentSchools is conducting a mission at Kearsney from the 24th to 29th April. We do ask your special prayers for this. We will praise Him for all that is past. And trust Him for all that's to come.
