Osier House Matric's were entertained by the Zululand OldBoys in typical fashion. Those students who were able to attend the OceanAcad emy SailingCourse in the first week of December, found it to be a highlight. After a basic yacht hand course, and a really exciting sailing experience in a 25 to 30 knot gale, they very quickly learnt to work as a team and realized that the task can only be effectively carried out if each member carries out his responsibilities. This lesson will hopefully not be forgotten in years to come. When looking back over the year, from the point of per sonal growth.PostMatric 1994 has been successful. 90% of the group have a much clearer direction in life and what tertiary path to follow.Froman academic perspec tive, the examination results havebeenmost disappoint ing.Ipersonally believe that they did not spend suffi cient time at their books. They did not appreciate that academic success can only be achieved with consistent hard work. The majority of the post matrics have still to learn that lesson. COCKS Grandparents' Day It has always been our pleasure at Kearsney to involve parents in the life of the school and to encourage their full participation in their sons' education. The influence that grandparents have in the education processs of their grandchildren does not go unnoticed either. "Grandpar ents' Day" was held once again this year to express our appreciation for the vital role grandparents play in en couraging their grandsons and in setting a sound exam ple for them to follow.
