Sudding, S. McKeown, P. Smith. 50he scored against College? His orthodox left arm spin ners also proved to be effective and economical often running through tailend batsmen. Stephen Ivey and William Lee were the speedsters of the team. Their bowling was often very fiery and some times unplayable but unfortunately through lack of fit ness and inconsistency, allowed batsmen off the hook. The strength of the team lay in its batting. A solidmid dle order of Simon Hipkin, Simon McKeown, John Caulfield and Richard Prestedge, all at various times, played valuable innings. Lionel McDougall, a first change medium pacer and our ever reliable wicketkeeper Paul Smith scored reasonably big totals. Iwould like to extend sincere thanks to a number of people; firstlyD. Taylor tbe scorer who gaveuphis open weekends to sit in the hot sun; secondly. Jay and his groundstaff who prepared immaculate turf pitches and tracks week in and week out; thirdly to the loyal and enthusiastic parent group who have supported the school and their sons over the years; and lastly toMr Ratcliffe whose contribution to Kearsney cricket is most signifi cant.
