Cross Country Kearsney had a very successful inter-school season this year at the junior level where our junior A teamconsist ing of J. Marnewick, L. Bush, V. Geldenhuys and B. Braithwaite did particularly well. Kearsney in fact was first in thePietermaritzburg andDistrict League for most of the season, but finally ended up fourth out of the 27 junior boys' teams competing. Jacques Marnewick was truly an outstanding asset to the team and won every race he took part in. He also set a course record of 15.08 minutes for the Junior Valley course at Kearsney Col lege and was chosen for the Natal U15 Cross Country team. Our senior team and junior B and C teams enjoyed their seasons too, andRoger Steel proved to be amost enthu siastic and dedicated captain of our teams. The results of the Inter-house Cross Country race were as follows: Juniors: 1st J. Marnewick (F) 15.25 2nd L. Bush (?) 16.47 3rd V. Geldenhuys (?) 17.19 and aggregate positions were: 1st Gillingham 73.23 2nd Pembroke 78.76 3rd Finningley 79.52 Seniors: 1st D. Gumming (G) 26.29 2nd A. Johnson (G) 26.31 3rd W.
