Despite the disruptions of the second term in the form ofextra holidays for elections etc.,the second team took their hockey seriously; practised diligently throughout the season and played constructive and innovative hockey. The results (three wins, three losses and two draws)do notdojustice to the dedication or skills ofthe players,as the only area in which they did notexcel was that of goal scoring. Only too often, in many matches, Kearsney camped in the opposition's half of the field but were unable to put the ball in the back ofthe net.
