The results for the year were as follows: vs Kloof Won 6-0 vs Maritzburg College U16C Won 4-1 vs Port Shepstone Won 8-0 vs Glenwood Won 3-0 vs Westville Won 3-1 vs Hilton U16C Lost0-1 vs Hillcrest Won 5-0 vs Thomas Moore mixed U15A316A Won 3-0 This group of determined, committed players were a pleasure to coach. They practised regularly and used the practice time very effectively, accepting instruction regarding their own personal game. My aim with this group of boys was to: 1. Improve their individual skills 2. Work on their individual weak areas and 3. to instil a feeling of enjoyment for the sport and experience personal satisfaction in giving of their best. In our matches they used the short ball passes very effectively and their high success rate was due to their playing as a team.It is very gratifying for a coach when a team plays a match according to a game plan. Without exception every player showed improvement in their skills, their tackling ability and most important of all, our strikers scored goals. 1995 for the U15A team was a successful year for the players and the coach. HA.Swanepoel UI5BAND C Regular players - U15B: C Ashmore, G Baxter, T Browne, M-J Lane,Linz,D McKenzie,M Perkins, S Raleigh, G Stobie, G Tilley, N Wallace (Capt), M Webster,B Wyllie 1995 was a year of mixed fortunes for this team, as three out of5 matches were won and two were lost. The boys practised hard and with enthusiasm during the season and there were obvious and pleasing improvements in their basic skills and in their tactical playNolan Wallace led by example and was steady and reliable in defence. It is unfortunate that we were unable to find more fixtures for this team, but many schools do not have a B team, nor do they have the fields on which to play.We look forward to a successful season in 1996 - and a busier one, as we intend to continue into the third term.
