HOCKEY2001 Hockey continues to be one ofour major sports and with the completion ofour Astro Turfduring the course ofthe year it is to be hoped that we will be able to re-establish ourselves as the pre eminent hockey school in the greater Durban area.We fielded nine sides and our objective next year must be to run at least four teams per age group, to increase our total to/' twelve. It is possible to get fixtures ™ for these teams and I would encourage all those boys who have an interest in the sport to turn out and swell our numbers. All hockey players will have an opportunity to train and play on the Astro and we will continue with our policy of hiring professional coaches in order to give our boys the very best opportunities to develop their technical and tactical skills.
