Defence was very good and therefore they managed to win most of their games. It was a pleasure working with this team, because they always gave everything and this made the coaching very easy. This team really showed that it is not physical size that counts, but the size of your heart! For many it was their first season of "senior" rugby, which proved quite daunting for some of the individuals. After a rather shaky opening game against College, the team came together well and their win over Hilton the following week showed their dedication. The players worked hard during practices, especially at their rucking and tackling. On the whole the players had an enjoyable season and I'm sure they will remember one remark which was heard at practice: "Even the big guys can't run when you've got both their ankles!" > PQ Report: o ^This side was always going to be up against it during the season. The lack of numbers did not help their cause either and, on most occasions many of theU14Dplayers, after having completed their game, would have to help out inplaying for the F side as well. The regulars, however, gave their all and to them it was not just about winning but about playing the game and enjoying themselves andIwould like to congratulate them on a good effort.
