X ER SO With the third term becoming less active(after the rugby fixtures and very little interschool activities) the opportunity for soccer to fill this gap and work coherently with athletics has been seized at Kearsney. Soccer is only in its second year at Kearsney and the season once again began with lots of enthusiasm from the boys and staff who were determined to improve on last year's results. After the first trials, Kearsney was able to field the following teams: Open - 1st, 2nd and 3rd; UI6A,B,C and D;U14A,B,C,D,E and F. ✓ ✓ The season once again began with lots of enthusiasmfrom the hoysandstaff who were determined to improve on last 'year's results. The real problem however was attempting to find fixtures for all these teams and their enthusiastic players. Congratulations to the following boys who were chosen for representative teams at club level: Kyle Connolly(Pinetown & Districts U15 Captain) and Dylan Campbell(Pinetown & Districts U14). On Saturday 15 September, the Athletics Interschool meeting was cancelled and this allowed us to hold an interhouse soccer competition. Each house fielded an A and B team in each of the three age groups (U14,U16,U19)- Because ofthe time limitations, penalty shoot outs were abandoned and fouls and corners totaled to resolved drawn games. The day produced lots ofactivity and enjoyment for the boys, staffand parents . On behalf of the boys, we would like to thank all those teachers who managed, coached and refereed the teams this season. »WAMOS IslTeam Soccer o a V X Seated:K Pillay, N Roberts(Captain), MrJ Ndaba,R Canny,S van der Merwe 2ndRow:M Baillie,5 Malanda,S Dyer, G Ainsworth, R Duncan, A Borgen,S Molloy 129
