Chronicle-2001

«IOLOGV REPORT The year seemed to be a very busy one indeed. We had an excellent matric group going through for final examinations and they did very well. Another exciting development for the Grade 12's was the onset of the CTA Practical exams held in the evenings to make up their portfolios for the final examinations. Each boy had to complete 13 practical tasks, each taking an hour. I would like to thank Mrs Thaloshne Moonsammy in particular for all her hard work in setting up the pracs for each boy in each session. On the development side, we started to build a greenhouse and an aviary on the land at the back ofthe classrooms. There is already a small dam in place there. The boys in the Grade9elective took this project on with enthusiasm and they managed to complete the greenhouse and start the aviary by the end of the year. When it is complete, the school will be able to boast the second largest enclosed bird aviary in Kwa-Zulu Natal, the largest being situated in Pinetown/Queensburgh. Thank you to Mike Griffiths and Rod de Villiers for their commitment to this department. G COLLINS z 0 r. V ■m m ■5% Vk. 55
