Chronicle-2001

>k- ■' Iw m m m . Perhaps the highlight of the year was the Leadership Week on the Hibiscus Coast at TO. Strand and Glenmore Eco-Centre. The objectives of the week were to encourage team work and expose the boys to a coastal environment. The week's activities covered a Marine Rock Pool study, a Sand Dune and coastal Bush study, eradication of Invader Plants, an obstacle course. Surf Life-Saving, a surf rafting, a surf swim and a geographical study of the coast shores. The boys bad a great deal of free time swimming, hiking and fishing. They were well fed by a small group of hard-working mothers: Mrs. Butcher, Mrs. Simeoni, Mrs. Chapman andMrs. Wisdom. Thank you so much for looking after the ravenous young men. The objectives of the week were to encourage team work andexpose the boys to a coastal environment. I would like to thank the willing group of Kearsney Staff who facilitated the various activities and assisted me in looking after the Grade Nines during the year. Your effort are indeed appreciated.
