129 SPORT Overview CRICKET U16 A The team had a tough year. The increasing incentive to play for the 1st team led to some hard work and there was a general improvement in skills. Some outstanding performances with the bat included two centuries: Alex Albertse with a patient 105 and Tyler Smith with a very aggressive 101. From September it all changed. Due to the exchange programme and injuries seven players needed to be replaced.The new players who joined the team grabbed the opportunity with both hands and in true Kearsney spirit played with passion and determination. They caused the upset of the season by beating a very strong DHS team, unbeaten at that stage. It was a truly awesome achievement. I would like to thank all the boys for their contribution in making this a very pleasant experience for me.
