Water Polo is one of those spor ting codes which embodies the adage: ‘practise makes perfect’. The boys worked hard and all the coaches felt that we could see the players growing in skill and confidence. One of our goals for 2012 will be to increase our par ticipation in tournaments. We’re delighted that training and matches will commence in the first term – this will definitely help to strengthen the sport. A major challenge this year was the KZNTop 10 tournament. The 1st team performed well, but again was unable to sustain quality and finished 5th. The U15 As finished 9th and the U14 As 8th. KZN trials were held early this year and we had a number of boys who were unfor tunate not to make the teams. The following players made KZN teams: KZN U19B: Jason Valenti KZN U16A: Daniel du Preez; Jean-Luc du Preez; KZN U15A: Anthony Quenet I would also like to thank the coaches for their dedication and commitment during the season: Doug Campbell,Taff Green, Matt Conradie, Jake Adam and Cameron Buys all played a major role in shaping the boys into competent players. My special thanks go to the parents who supported the teams throughout the season. Francois Lubbe Water Polo This was a tough season for Kearsney but the boys learned a lot from their losses.
