It is thanks to the inspired effor ts of many people that this year has been so successful and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have been involved in the running of the house this year. I learnt very quickly, that Haley is as much about empathy as it is about discipline and it takes the special skills of someone such as Mr Thompson to establish this balance, which is essential in ensuring the wellbeing of 70 boys. I would like to thank Mr Thompson, on behalf of the Haley prefects of 2011, for all the support that he has shown us this year. To the Haley staff, who have given so much of their time in service to the house, I thank you. Your devotion is greatly appreciated and I am sure that the boys will miss your enthusiasm, suppor t and compassion. To Mike, Ant, Zulu and Rowan: I want to say what a privilege it has been for me to be able to work with a group of such passionate Kearsney brothers. You have each been inspirational in your roles as leaders and I wish to congratulate you on all that you have achieved in your time at Kearsney.
