Chronicle-2011

36 All issues raised are discussed in meetings and wor thy and valid points are taken to management. Issues from both boarders and day boys are discussed and we have found that this vital forum reduces the cases of boys merely moaning about problems that they perceive as unsolvable. Significant challenges for the council this year included making the final decision in the design of the 90th anniversary tie as well as organising the 90th celebration day – both were highly successful. The council was also active in community based tasks such as the hunger lunch held in aid of the Bulungula community in the Transkei. I would like to thank Mr Robinson for his guidance and for ensuring the success of the council this year. I would also like to thank the members for their eager service. The year was undeniably a successful one and I wish the council of 2012 the best of luck. The council is the voice of the boys and I hope that the boys of the College continue to use it to make Kearsney a better place to be. Matt Militz The Kearsney College Council has an important influence, on behalf of the boys, over everyday life at the College.
