The quiz was a battle of both brains and reflexes as teams had to respond not only accurately, but also quickly, to questions that appeared on the screen. After two hotly contested knock-out rounds, Clifton College emerged as victors. The grade 9 History boys were once again required to choose a topic onWWII and to present their research in a visually pleasing manner. Their displays were exhibited at the annual Historyonix Expo – now in its 8th year. The following prizes were awarded: First Place: Richard Burford, Neil Lillelund and Ruben van Aswegen – B29 bomber dropping bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Second Place: Peter Hudson, Alex Harvey and Myles Lundall – Japanese Prisoner ofWar Camp Third Place: GaryWright, Aaron Rhodes and Joss Cahi – The Great Escape Third Place: Jason Hayman – Anne Frank Fourth Place: Cameron Grinyer, Stephen Tedder and Francois van der Merwe – Air Raid Shelter So History is alive and well at Kearsney with both boys and staff continuing to live up to the challenge of ‘making history.’ Adam Rogers
