This embodied what the C team was all about they were not necessarily the most talented group of young men, but they worked so hard that it was difficult to not be recognised and selected for higher teams. The team’s results do not reflect how hard they worked or how much they improved. There is a great work ethic and enthusiasm to get better amongst the U14 basketball players as is evidence by the number of boys who chose it as a sport despite never having played basketball before. Now that the fundamentals are in place it will be interesting to see if the players keep up the same work ethic and intensity while displaying the obvious enjoyment of the sport as they move through the age groups.
