The highlight of the season was, without a doubt, the grit and determination displayed by the team in every fixture. No match encapsulated this die-hard attitude better than the fixture against Durban High School where the boys snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Special mention to Trent Coetzee for being the top try scorer; Singele Mkhize for his attack and defence as he threw his body into every tackle; and to Michael Ngwenya as the pick of the forwards carrying the ball powerfully and offloading with skill to support runners. It has been a privilege to coach this team and witness growth in ability and character. Thank you to the assistant coach Mr Mike Simpson for his expert knowledge and dedication, and Mr AJ Roos, the conditioning coach, for always being on-hand to treat the injuries of the season.
