175 2nd Team Water Polo Other regular players: Kegan Cockcroft, Robert Dungan, Cameron Fenton, Cameron Ferguson, Massimo Fierro, Adam Gibson, Matt Haslam, Brett Holing, Noah Laurēnz, James Mackenzie, Carlo Miller, Wilco Roets, Dominik Stawicki, Luke Wilson The 2019 season commenced with a tough line-up of schools. The boys experienced a narrow loss to Westville Boys’ High School and faced-off against the formidable Hilton College and Maritzburg College sides. The first half of the season saw our Grade 12s, big and physical, dominate in the opening games. Unfortunately, our fitness levels counted against us and showed the boys they needed some serious swim sets. With much introspection, the boys learnt a great deal about themselves and each other. They then regrouped, changed their game plan and were triumphant over St Charles College, Northwood School and Glenwood High School. In the fourth term, we welcomed our U16s into the mix, and their speed and swim fitness gave the team a jolt of energy. The highlights of the season were the wins over Glenwood High School and St Charles College’s 1st Team. The second half of the season provided a good building block for the team starting next year, and we look forward to competing against our old rivals again in the first term.
