189 The Friday evening’s highly successful black-tie dinner and auction was attended by 297 Old Boys, with the Class of 1989 having a record 49 attendees for their 30th year reunion. The dinner hosted 22 international Old Boys visiting from all over the world. Nick Keary (KCOB 1998), the MC ensured that between the golf and dinner auctions, R 103 000 was raised. This is much needed support for the fundraising efforts towards the Sons of Old Boys Bursary Fund. The choir performed two songs which were well-received, followed by the tradition of Kearsney boys singing Shosholoza at the conclusion of the Headmaster’s address. This was truly an amazing evening, where Old Boys enjoyed catching up with school friends and teachers.
