61 Outreach Community service is an essential part of developing our boys to be open-minded, principled citizens in a global community. When performing community service, they can see first-hand how much their work impacts those less privileged. Many of our boys volunteer locally at animal shelters, in retirement communities and at orphanages. They interact with people who have vastly different backgrounds and learn patience and empathy as they develop a global perspective and a better understanding of real-world issues. When students are involved in community service, they are not only helping others, they are also expanding their world-view, developing empathy and leadership skills, and realising how their actions can have a positive impact on the world around them.
