99 98 Under 16B Basketball The team had mediocre results in the first half of the season, but this doesn’t reflect how close many games were. They often came within striking distance of their opponents and nearly pulled off dramatic upsets against schools with larger numbers. The team’s never-give-up attitude was evident, with several games coming down to the final possession. If those shots had gone in, the outcomes could have been different. The second half of the season saw a significant change, with most B-team players moving to the A-team. This required a recalibration of playing style and personnel. While they remained competitive, they were not at the same level as in the first term. These young men have much work to do to become competent players at this level. However, they were competitive, and no game was a blowout. If they maintain their fighting spirit, it will serve them well in their basketball careers.
