We embarked on an eventful journey, participating in five official tournaments. The highlight of our season was the privilege of competing in the prestigious First Choice 7s at Nico Malan High School. Here, we faced formidable opponents, and while the competition was fierce, our team showcased admirable determination and skill. Our results against these strong opponents were nothing short of respectable and a testament to our players' hard work and dedication. Two of our players, Valentino Lenge and Simo Mnqokoyi, demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication throughout the season. Their outstanding performances earned them places in the KZN 7s extended squad. This achievement brings pride to our school and showcases the calibre of players we nurture at Kearsney College. A total of 36 players were capped between our A and B teams - a testament to the depth of talent within our ranks. This experience provided valuable opportunities for player development and growth. One of the most significant accomplishments of the season was the development of excellent leadership skills within our team. Heinrich Fourie assumed the role of captain for the Open A team, while Evan Powers led the Open B team with distinction. Their leadership on and off the field was pivotal in our team's success and growth, setting an example for their peers and future Kearsney College rugby sevens players. This season, we also strongly emphasised creating a positive team culture. We instituted weekly awards for
